On 11 April 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, called on Mr. Gheewan Kim, President of the Korea Foundation (KF), at the Foundation's headquarters in Seoul. Ambassador Tanee learnt on the role of KF in promoting public diplomacy. Both sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in this area between Thailand and the ROK.

Ambassador Tanee commended KF for its leading role in deepening mutual understanding and fostering international cooperation through cultural activities, educational initiatives, and human resources exchanges. The Ambassador also learnt about KF's current projects in Thailand. Ambassador also invited KF to co-organize more activities to promote Thailand-ROK relations and expressed the Embassy's willingness to support and collaborate in future initiatives to strengthen bilateral ties.

Ambassador Tanee shared with the KF President the Embassy's plan to organise Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival 2025: T-Pop Story during 6–7 September 2025 at Cheonggye Plaza and Cheonggyecheon road. This year's event will feature a special showcase of contemporary Thai art to highlight modern and dynamic aspects of Thai culture. Ambassador Tanee also invited the KF President to attend the Festival's opening ceremony and visit the event and invited KF's participation as a supporting organisation or co-host the event.
