On 9 August 2022, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, welcomed the Audit Committee from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, led by Mrs. Woranuch Phu-Im, Inspector-General of the Ministry of Finance. Ambassador informed the Committee about the Embassy’s role in taking care of Thai travelers and residents in the ROK, including Thai workers, and publicizing information on the ROK’s entry measures to ensure correct understanding among Thai travelers. In addition, Mrs. Jiranee Poonnayom, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Seoul Office, also updated the Committee about the Office’s activities to boost travel and tourism exchanges between Thailand and the ROK. The Committee and Ambassador also exchanged views on how to further encourage travel and minimize its hindrance between Thailand and the ROK.
