On 7 March 2024, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Charge d'affaires, a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy welcomed Mr. Kriangkrai Monwichit, executive of Monwichit Entertainment, along with Thai girl group “SISMA” (Sisters of Mama). Mr. Kriangkrai, producer of the famous Thai film “Khong Khaek”, currently serves as producer of SISMA and brought the girl group to Seoul for a recording session with CR Kim, a well-known Korean producer/song writer for K-Pop groups such as Exo, Twice, Red Velvet, and Mamamoo.

 

On this occasion, Mr. Bancha exchanged views with the delegation on the promotion of Thailand’s soft power in the ROK, as well as opportunities for cooperation between the Royal Thai Embassy and Monwichit Entertainment in promoting SISMA and other quality Thai content in the ROK. Such cooperation could include promotion through the Embassy’s annual Thai Festival, or other festivals in the ROK such as the Busan International Film Festival.
