Minister Chawadol Presides over the Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony and Songkran Cultural Festival at Gimhae

On 14 June 2026, Mr. Chawadol Nipathannont, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, presided over the opening ceremony of the Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony and Songkran Cultural Festival held at Punseong Event Square in Gimhae. Approximately 500 members of the Thai community attended the event.
The event featured a wide range of activities, including traditional cultural performances and Thai classical dance, the Miss Gimhae pageant, Songkran water-splashing activities, as well as food stalls and charitable food booths operated by more than 50 Thai community groups. These activities reflected the strong spirit of cooperation, unity, and resilience within the Thai community in the area.
The Royal Thai Embassy remains committed to supporting activities organized by the Thai community, as well as promoting Thai culture and identity in the ROK. Such efforts contribute to strengthening bonds, unity, and the long-term vitality of Thai communities living abroad.
