Minister Bancha attends ASEAN Committee in Seoul’s Chairperson Turn over Ceremony, planning to promote ASEAN-ROK relations

On 2 Jan. 2025, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Minister/DCM of the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, together with Ambassadors and representatives of ASEAN member countries in the ROK were invited by the Philippine Ambassador in capacity of ACS’s Chairperson during the last six months in 2024, to attend ACS’s Chairperson Turn Over Ceremony, for the Malaysian Ambassador as the new ACS’s Chairperson during the first six months in 2025. This ceremony was organized at the Philippine Embassy in Seoul
The missions of ACS’s chairperson are to facilitate dialogues with the ROK’s government officials and private sectors in various fields of mutually interest and to strengthen ASEAN’s identity in the ROK through projects with ASEAN-Korea Centre.
During the next six months, ACS is planning to organize (1) Talk by Think-Tank (Sejong Institute) (2) a study visit to Incheon Free Economic Zone or Hyundai R&D Centre and (3) ASEAN SEAmposium in the ROK
