On 5 February 2025, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, welcomed Mr. Sawaeng Boonmee, Secretary-General of Election Commission of Thailand and his delegation from the 1st Iteration of the Course of Advanced Political Leaders in Democracy from Political and Electoral Development Institute of ECT at the Embassy during their study visit to the ROK between 3-7 February 2025. The said course brings together a wide range of participants form government agencies, private sector companies and members of parliament.
Minister Bancha briefed the delegation on an overview of Thailand-ROK Strategic Partnership Relations and the work of the Embassy in providing overseas election services for the Thai community in the ROK. Minister and delegation also exchanged views on the ways to cope with upcoming national referendum and overseas election in case of more Thai nationals registering to exercise their votes in the ROK in the future.
