On 8 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, Mr. Krist Mekkriengkrai, Head of Consular Section, and an official from the Consular Section, visited a Thai woman who was injured after being assaulted by her husband, who threw hot water onto her face. The victim is currently receiving treatment at Bestian Seoul Hospital.

Medical professionals have diagnosed the victim with second-degree burns out of four severity levels. Ambassador Tanee offered words of encouragement, presented a fruit basket, and affirmed that the Embassy will continue to assist by coordinating with the hospital, the police, and interpreters as needed.

The Royal Thai Embassy wishes to express its appreciation to the Thai community in the ROK for their collective support and financial contributions toward the victim’s medical expenses, reflecting the compassion and solidarity of the Thai community abroad.
