On 15 April 2022, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador-designate, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Ryu Jeong-hyun, Deputy Minister for Protocol Affairs and Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK), to present a copy of the Letter of Credence from His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the ROK.

During the call, both sides exchanged views on ways to further strengthen Thailand-ROK relations, especially as the year 2023 marks the 65^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Ambassador-designate of Thailand expressed his commitment to promoting cooperation with the ROK in all dimensions, particularly post-COVID-19 economic recovery and exchange of experiences in technology and innovation development.
