On 22 January 2026, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, together with Ms. Saithong Soiphet, Minister Counsellor (Commercial), Mrs. Kanticha Laicharernkit, Head of the Economic Section, Ms. Apapan Chatpaisarn, Head of the Agricultural Affairs Section, Royal Thai Embassy officer and Thai entrepreneurs, had a meeting with Ms. Youn Young Mi, Chairman of the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA), to introduce investment opportunities in Thailand and exchange views on ways to expand product lines of Thai products to the Korean market as well as increase the import volume of Thai products, particularly food products such as chicken and fresh fruits.

In addition, the Chairman of the Korea Importers Association extended the invitation to Thai entrepreneurs to showcase Thai products at the 2026 Korea Import Expo, which will be held from 23-25 June 2026 at COEX B Hall.
