On 14 January 2026, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, attended the Mayor’s Tea Roundtable and Smart City Site Visit at Seongdong-gu Office, Seoul at the inviation of the Sunfull Foundation and the Mayor’s Office of Seongdong District.  Mr. Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, together with Dr. Min Byoung-chul, Chairman and Founder of the Sunfull Foundation, gave an introduction on Seongdong District’s innovative administrative policies and future-orientated urban vision, as well as exchanged ideas with ambassadors and representatives on potential areas of international cooperation between the Seongdong District and the diplomatic missions located in this district and other nearby districts in Seoul.

Ambassador Tanee also joined the on-site visit programme to learn about the Seongdong District’s smart city initiatives under the concept of “Human-Centered AI & Smart City, Seongdong”, including the smart crosswalk system, smart bus shelter and smart resting shelter, which have greatly improved convenience and safety for the citizens.
