On 9 August 2025, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, presented youth performers from the Performing Arts Academy of the Prince Royal’s College, Chiang Mai, on stage at the 2025 Daejeon Zero O’Clock Festival — one of Daejeon’s most prominent annual cultural events attracting large audiences from both South Korea and abroad.
The performances comprised Northern Thai traditional dance and a creative dance piece titled “La-ong Sin: the Essence of Lanna from Chiang Mai,”presenting the elegance of Lanna heritage blended with contemporary artistic expression.
The Embassy’s participation not only promoted Thailand’s rich cultural heritage to South Korean and international audiences, but also reaffirmed its commitment to fostering mutual understanding and strengthening the bonds of friendship between the peoples of Thailand, the Republic of Korea, and international community through cultural exchange.
