On 7 December 2023, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission on behalf of the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul together with Ms. Chananya Punnarugusa, Minister Counsellor of Office of Commercial Affairs, attended the dinner reception on the occasion of the 53rd Anniversary of the Founding of Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) and the 14th Import Day, organized by KOIMA at the Westin Josun Seoul.

On this occasion, Mr. Kim Byung-kwan, Chairman of KOIMA gave an opening remarks by highlighting the role of KOIMA during the past 53 years as a bridge to connect Korean importers with foreign exporters which has helped promote relations among reliable trading partners.

During this event, Minister Bancha invited KOIMA to organize a trade delegation to seek opportunities to import more commodities from Thailand. Minister emphasized that the ongoing negotiation of Economic Partnership Agreement between Thailand and the ROK will definitely support mutual beneficial trade in the years ahead.
